Glückstadt's apple roses

Here is our puff pastry baking idea from the "Recipes around the world" series for delicious and cute looking vegan apple roses. Let us inspire you!

Preparation time: approx. 75 mins.
Baking  time: approx. 30 mins.

Moin Bio Blätter Teil Vegan

Ingredients for 24 roses
1 pck. MOIN organic puff pastry vegan
3 big red apples
40 g ground almonds
40 g raw cane sugar
pinch of cinnamon
1 mini muffin tin
margarine (e.g. Alsan) to grease the baking tin

Preparation
1.Preheat your oven to 175°C (fan-assisted: 155°C). Take MOIN organic puff pastry vegan out of the freezer. Separate pastry sheets and let them thaw for about 5 minutes.

2. Quarter, core and cut the apples along the long sides into thin slices using a peeler.

3. Grease the baking tin well. Mix the cane sugar with the almonds and add 1 small teaspoon of the almond-sugar mixture to each of the 24 molds.

4. Cut each pastry sheet into four equal strips. Arrange nine apple strips, three in a row, one above the other like a fan on the first 2/3 of a puff pastry strip (see sketch). Roll up from the apple side so that you end up with the pastry wrapped around the apple. Press the pastry firmly into the mold. Do the same with all other strips. Last but not least, sprinkle with some cinnamon and sugar, place in the middle of your oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
