Energy flows where attention goes

We are part of the bigger picture

Since we are all part of the bigger picture, we are committed to issues which are close to our hearts. This concerns the quality of our baked goods as well as a future worth living. In order to guarantee the excellence of our products, we have been certified by Bioland, Germany's largest organic farming association with the strictest criteria after demeter.

We are a member of the AÖL (the association of organic food producers) which dedicates itself to a culture of high-quality nutrition and to political work that advocates high-quality food and safety standards. The association has recently called on the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture to add the "true costs of food" to its political program for the coming years. We also believe that we urgently need to talk about this. AÖL Council member Josef Eder summarized it perfectly by saying: "Our products are not too expensive but other products are too cheap."

In this context, the philosopher professor Gernot Böhme, said something interesting. Food should be understood as a consummation with nature since we ourselves are nature and we exist with nature. Due to industrialization, humans have turned away from sustainable farming and the soil has become a mere means of production. Böhme says: "That‘s how the ethics of food get lost."  We say, he‘s right.

We also belong to the BNN – Bundesverband Naturkost Naturwaren, the association of the organic food industry. It actively promotes holistic organic production methods, a healthy diet, socially sustainable management and the spread of natural foods as well as other organic products. In short: the BNN is the spearhead of our industry. It aims to improve the world of economic activity. So we are happy to be on their membership list, as well as that of UnternehmensGrün, the federal association for a green economy.

If we supported every organization that we like, the list would be pretty long. Therefore, we picked three of our favourites to sponsor:

The seed fund of the Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft bei der GLS Treuhand, so that our diet does not entirely end up in the hands of unscrupulous companies.

The BioBoden Genossenschaft, because we understand our soil as a basis for life and not as an object for speculative commoditization.  It is vital to protect our soil. What we need are more acreages being farmed organically. What we don‘t need are more individuals with fat wallets and a total disregard for the future.

And finally the OMNIBUS für Direkte Demokratie gemeinnützige GmbH, so that article 20 of the German consitution can finally be implemented, which states: "All state authority is derived from the people. It shall be exercised by the people through elections and other votes (...)."  Unfortunately, this has not worked too well up to now...

We are grateful for the existence of these organizations and the people who are committed to these important issues. You can get more information about them by clicking on the links, and maybe you can even get involved yourself. After all, we are all responsible for the state of our values, our rights and our Earth. Anyway, we welcome anyone who’d like to join us and has the guts to get involved.
