Turkish Börek Swirls
This recipe idea is from Ayse Celik, our devoted factory shop keeper. With half her heart at home in Izmir, her tasty börek swirls are inspired by Turkish cooking traditions. With just 5 ingredients, you can bake them in no time at all and take your senses on a journey to the Aegean coast.

Preparation time: approx. 15 mins
Baking time: approx. 20-25 mins
Ingredients for 6 swirls
1 pck. MOIN Butter Puff Pastry
200 g feta cheese
1 bunch of parsley
1 egg yolk
1-2 tbsp sesame seeds for sprinkling
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Chop the parsley, crush the feta with a fork and mix the two together.
3. Place the puff pastry sheets next to each other and leave to thaw for 5 minutes. Join 3 pastry sheets at a time, roll out with a rolling pin and cut in half lengthwise to make a total of 4 long pastry strips.
4. Spread the feta filling in the centre of the 4 pastry strips.
5. Roll up the dough strips from the long side and then twist into swirls. (Tip: Do not twist too tightly. A little air is needed between the layers for the dough to bake through well.).
6. Brush the swirls with egg yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
