Day of climate action 2020 - Every step counts
We make the difference!
On September 25th, many people will take to the streets again to draw attention to our planet and to put pressure on politicians. The global climate strike calls for effective EU climate goals and the phasing out of coal mining by 2030. A social-ecological turnaround is needed to lead us into a world where we live in harmony with nature.
Last year we were on the streets together with the local youth of the Fridays For Future movement under the motto "A dead earth needs no economy!“. This year we cannot go on strike because our customers need us. Especially now, in times of uncertainty, we want to make sure that we can reliably supply as many people as possible with consistently good food.
But even if we don't make it to the streets this Friday, we – meaning all of us - can still be active participants in the movement for environmental protection.
At MOIN, we have had 100% green electricity for years but now we also have our own solar system on the roof of our production hall. This will enable us to cover 30-40% of our electricity consumption and further reduce our CO2 emissions. Every personal choice bears transformational powers and, therefore, each one of us can be the change she or he wants to see in the world. Together - instead of against each other - we are moving step by step towards a time in which we realise our human potential. Let us leave the system of separation behind – let‘s practise interconnectedness and unite in the beginning of the age of holistic life!
