New management

MOIN's future is here

In 1995, Hans-Paul Mattke founded the organic bakery MOIN. What started with a wholemeal butter croissant developed into a company that today produces over 60 different products on 4,500 square metres of bakery. MOIN makes good food for other people. A true success story!

And a life's work, for which a successor had to be found. It was of great importance to the organic pioneer as well as his wife and co-owner Brigitta Sui Dschen Mattke that a value-oriented corporate culture continues to inspire the future of MOIN. After various succession options within and outside the family failed to come to fruition, a new opportunity unexpectedly arose in 2019: Three employees - Vicky Leskien, Julianna Müller and Jule Usadel (formerly Prothmann) - presented themselves as a potential leading trio. With the three women joining the management this summer, a new era begins at MOIN.

Vicky Leskien, Julianna Müller and Jule Usadel had been part of the MOIN team for about three years when they expressed their interest in taking over the company. Spending time together with successors in the business was important to the Mattke couple in order to pass on their knowledge and empirical values. The three young business economists showed the will to acquire the necessary know-how to be able to take over the business in the best interests of the company. In addition, their enthusiasm, their clearly structured way of working and the combination of their different competences convinced the Mattkes.

Julianna Müller started at MOIN in spring 2016. The qualified industrial clerk and business economist is now responsible for the departments Production, IT & EDP, Technology as well as QA & QM.

"Making our fantastic organic baked goods with our multicultural, enthusiastic team and supplying more and more people with them are my challenge and daily incentive."

"It makes me proud to now be part of MOIN's management team," says Jule Usadel after her appointment to the new position.

After studying business administration with a focus on food management, she joined MOIN in September 2017. Today, she is responsible for the departments Purchasing, Sales, Communication and Product Development.

Vicky Leskien, who will complete the management team in September after her parental leave, has been working for MOIN since July 2017. As a hotel specialist, butcher and graduate in business administration, her areas of responsibility are Finance & Controlling and Administration.

"For me, MOIN is not only an organic bakery with the best baked goods, but also a company that is always raising questions and moving forward," says Vicky Leskien, who identifies with this 100 %.

Don’t panic, the future is organic!

"I am very pleased that with Jule Usadel, Julianna Müller and soon Vicky Leskien, three committed and long-standing MOIN employees are joining me in the management," says Hans-Paul Mattke, who intuitively led the company for so many years to make MOIN what it is today:

Thousands of people enjoy our organic baked goods every day. We are a reliable partner for numerous health food shops, bakeries and bistros throughout Germany. 75 employees work at MOIN in meaningful jobs that serve the common good. And even if the dream of "100 % organic food for all" is not yet (!) a reality, we have certainly come a lot closer to its realization - and we remain on course, confident and fit for the future.
